Become a volunteer facilitator

Interested in becoming a volunteer facilitator?

Restorative Response Baltimore offers training to those who wish to become community conferencing facilitators, providing conferencing throughout the state of Maryland. And our next facilitator training is coming up soon!

Join us on Thursday, October 13th and Friday, October 14th, 2022 from 8:30 to 5pm at RRB (Union Mill @ 1500 Union Ave. Baltimore, MD 21211, first floor conference rooms)

Co-facilitated by RRB Executive Director Larell Smith-Bacon and Community Conferencing Program Manager Jade Jones, with support from Community Conferencing Program Director Andria Cole, our highly participatory 16-hour facilitator training combines experiential and didactic learning. This training emphasizes both the principles underlying invested facilitation and the techniques of the conferencing process, from preparation through follow-up. Concepts and methods concerning race, class, and equity will also be covered.

Because space in this training is limited, we will prioritize people who are in our Restorative Justice Statewide Network, as well as those who plan to volunteer with RRB. Once your request to register is received, applications will be reviewed and we will reach out to you via email to confirm your attendance and provide an invitation to complete registration through our event site.

Registration will close at 5pm on Thursday, October 6th, 2022.
